In 2003, HUMMER introduced H2, reflecting an evolution of the brand and making HUMMER more accessible to a wider audience.

Hummer H2 SUT
With its rugged good looks and incredible off-road capabilities,
the HUMMER H2 already was the object of envy and desire.
Now comes the H2 SUT (sport utility truck) and with it a whole
new level of capability and flexibility.

Hummer H3 2006
The next chapter of the growing HUMMER legacy, the 2006 H3
delivers authentic HUMMER style and off-road capability in a smaller, more fuel efficient package. Just as its legendary H1 and H2 siblings
did in the full-size segment, the H3 will create a new leader in
off-road capability among midsize sport utilities when it arrives at
dealers in spring 2005.

Latest News: The H3 2006

Like each of its predesessors, the H3 is fully off road capable.
But its smaller package makes it more nimble in the city than any
Hummer before it. Featuring a potent Vortec 3500 engine, the H3
offers a choice of automatic or manual transmission and also comes
with an electronically controlled four-wheel drive system and underbody shielding system that comes as standard. Additional features include fully locking rear differential and stabilitrack vehicle stability enhancements.
The H3 has benn tested on the most severe off-road terrain and the toughtest off-road challenges possible and has proven itself a worthy extension of the proudest the proudest off-road name in the world. HUMMER.

History of the HUMMER

The HUMMER began in 1979 when many companies compeated for the development of the Army's new High Mobility Muti-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). AM General made a prototype called HUMVEE and went to test it in the Nevada desert in July 1980. After being
selected to pass the first round of tests, the HUMVEE was sent to a
five-month test period with the Army and two other vehicles.
After the test were compleated, it was decided that the HUMVEE
was the best possible vehicle for the job. Then, in 1983, AM General Corporation began the manufacturing of the HUMVEE. In 1992, they introduced their civilian version, dubbed HUMMER.
